Base Figure:LCBH Savage Dragon
Height:7.00 inches
BASE: LCBH Savage Dragon upper body, new Spider-Man figures Lizard arms, SMC Lizard lower legs, head was from a toy pteranodon, I drilled holes in the arms and inserted twisty ties and then glued vinyl to the arms. I had planned on having moveable elbows, but accidentally glued the elbow joints together, so I just covered with putty and blended the wings into the arms. The wingspan is 15". I primed and painted it with airbrush and hand detailing. Sealed it with Testors Dulcote. Gloss on the eyes and mouth and claws. A flight stand can be used with it. Has a hole for it in the back. Sauron is a were- pteranodon. Karl Lykos was bitten by a radioactive pteranodon. I don't know the difference between a pterodactyl and pteranodon!

I used a vinyl shower curtain($5 white, Walmart) and cut out the pattern for the wings. I cut some twisty wires and inserted those into the arms to be the frames for the wings and then glued the vinyl wings to those

There are only ever a couple of recipes using the same general base pieces for a custom of him, way to come out of left field on this one with something COMPLETELY new! The paints look so good, and he is sooo uniquely yours! Good stuff!

man thing guy is killer, an awesome and original version of sauron,always loved the guy,your paints are getting better and better every time(and I reallly didn't think it COULD get better it was already great) incredible figure dude,the wings look so real and alive with all the veins and details, as long as the figure looks cool I could care less about articulation either,awesome job!!!

Yes, and usually I don't really care about articulation, but I had the wings working good, no paint rub or anything, then when I was attaching the vinyl to the backside of the wings, I completely forgot about it and let the glue run into the joints of the wings! I forgot about putting it in the freezer for 20 minutes and seeing if I could crack loose the superglue, so I just smoothed over where the wings attach and blended that into the arms. It's no big deal to me, but I know a lot of collectors like a lot of articulation. I just display my stuff anyways.
