A scene from the popular text based MMO Aetolia, showing combat ensuing between a Horkvali Monk and an Imp Indoran in the city of Bloodloch. The Imp indoran is using the signature hangedman card to bind his opponent before afflicting him with his demons and Moon tarot.

To make this diorama, I started by making the basic floor and walls from corrugated cardboard covered with PVA and toilet paper. To add texture it was painted with a mix of PVA and Polyfilla. The bank sign and door were made from old styrofoam pizza packaging, the floor covered with a mixture of PVA and sand. the rock spikes were carved from blue foam modelling board. The ropes were made from copper wire, wrapped in embroidery silk. The Tarot cards were made from Fimo clay and the magic effect made from clear plastic and hot glitter glue.

The Imp was made using LOTR Aragaorn legs, Boromir torso, NECA Fred Krueger arms and hands, a Stone Cold Steve Austin head with sculpted ears. His bone dagger was made from a plastic Hallowe'en skeleton bone and the blade made from clear plastic sclupted with Fixit sculpt. The cape and belts taken from miscellaneous LOTR figures, and finished with high quality acrylics.

The Horkval was made using a 200X BuzzOff with wings and hands removed. The hands were replaced with miscellaneous hands from my fodder box and the holes from the removed wings had spikes sculpted over them. Medical tape were used for the bandages on the arms, and finished with high quality acrylics.

I know not many of you will know the origins of this diorama as text based gamed are a very esoteric area but I hope you enjoy it nonetheless.

As always comments are welcome and appreciated.
