Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Masters of the Universe
Date Added:November 9, 2011
Base Figure:DCUC Lex Luthor / 200x Roboto
Height:7.00 inches
Man it feels good to get this guy off my work table and out of my thoughts. I've been working on this guy since September and he has fought me all the way but, I did not give up, granted there were a few headscratching moment but I got there in the end. The basic recipe has been done before by Jin Saotame so props to him for having the vision to use Lex as the base. I wanted mine to be different but there really aren't that many options for robotic looking figures in the DCUC line. I decided I simply had to have the oversized vents for the bottom of his legs and that's where my troubles began. Anyhoo, onto the recipe.

Head = 200x Roboto

Torso = 200x Roboto - dremmeled the arm holes to be bigger.

Upper Arms = DCUC Lex Luthor - changed the rubber washers on the pegs as they were too thick, used earphone wire instead.

Lower Left arm and hand = 200x Roboto - dremmel to fit.

Lower right arm = 200x Roboto - dremmeled down then sculpted over to match upper arm.

Crotch piece and hips = DCUC Dr.Midnite - used to cut down on the wide legged stance caused by the lex crotch. 200x Roboto crotch dremmeled out then attached over the Dr.Midnite one, sculpt to blend.

Upper legs = DCUC Lex Luthor - dremmeled down to fit the Midnite hips. 200x Roboto thigh pieces dremmeled down to a thin piece then attached.

Kneepads = 200x Roboto.

Lower legs = 200x Roboto - dremmeled hollow then sculpted parts to blend.

Feet = DCUC Lex Luthor with 200x Roboto soles completely re-sculpted the feet to be bigger and match the design from the original 200x Roboto.

Chest plate and claw (big thanks to CFC!!) = 200x Roboto.

Gun = 200x Roboto - barrels / rockets from battle armour heman's projectile.

Next up, he-man V3 (I really like V2 he's just not to scale with my others) and Faker. Thanks for looking and I hoipe you enjoy.

Darth you are so inspiring and make masterpieces each time you touch a custom. I love your work and your 200X set is top notch epic. Your work lacks words to describe how great it truly is and I have waited to gaze at the final result. I could not rate this custom on a number scale, but for all accounts it is one of my favorite customs of all time. I hope that does you justice and rewards your fantastic work. I will always await your next work, for it truly makes me want to keep up customizing myself.

Holy crap darth! It turned out freaking amazing, I'm not MOTU fan in the slightest and I'd buy third guy in a heartbeat if I saw him in a store. Incredible work man.

I'm liking you 200X MOTU customs BETTER than the classics. This ROBOTO makes the classic look like a piece of CRAP. BAD AZZ CUSTOM!!!

*I'd like to see photos of both, the classic and this BAD AZZ custom together.
Darththomas - Friday, November 11, 2011
Wow!! better than the classics? thanks man, I only started this line because I couldn't afford the classics and to hear I may have surpassed it is awesome.
pulpyfiction - Wednesday, November 9, 2011
Dude I've been keeping my eye out for this for a bit now, and I have to tell you it was worth the wait! Parts blend is completely flawless, and the paints help sell that! Nice work! This roboto is bloody awesome!
Darththomas - Friday, November 11, 2011
Cheers Dude, sorry for making you wait but like I said in the recipe, he was an absolute pain....worth it though I think.
evanjones1 - Wednesday, November 9, 2011
You know, it's figs like this that actually make me want to give MOTU a chance. This perfectly combines the 200X look with just the right amount of Steampunk realism. I could totally buy this as some sort of Roboto movie design. Excellent work, especially with the paint.
Darththomas - Friday, November 11, 2011
Thanks man, I'd love to see your MOTU efforts, the more the merrier as far as I'm concerened
