Custom #:34870
Name:Grifter
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Wildcats
Creator:crazyhorse
Date Added:December 7, 2011
Base Figure:Starman variant
Height:6.00 inches
Hey and thanks for checking out my custom Grifter. Glad to see him become part of the DC universe with his own monthly comic. For this reason I chose a DC universe base, variant Starman. I used the head, gloves and weapons from the original Playmate figure. ML Nick Fury jacket. And last the bandoleer and belt are from Jonah Hex.

Complete figure paint. I even repainted the mask and gloves a nice dark red. The original was too bright of a red. I also darkened the hair as well. The weapons are as they were out of the package. Hope you enjoyed this figure.

Awesome work! Love the paint work & the inclusion of the parts from the original figure. IMHO, one of, if not the best Grifter on here!!! Will attempt to replicate your recipe. Thank you for the inspiration!

This is a cool looking Grifter! Great jacket, can't go wrong with the Nick Fury, and love the cartridge belt across the chest. The weapons however are kinda too kiddie and don't really match the coolness of this figure. Wouldn't you agree George? C'mon be honest. And I swear, if you can change the hair to not look so much like my Kraft dinner lol, this custom will surely make a great stocking stuffer for some lucky collector! I'll check on your stuff from time2time. I'm ALWAYS in the Realm but I gotta admit I never noticed your work before. No worries, I'll give you a chance and we'll see what you're made of.

HAHA this warrants a special reply. Good to hear from you and thanks for the advice. I do have other weapons of a more realistic nature but did like the kiddie style for some reason. And ya I actually considered resculpting the hair. Think I will redo and send you for your personal collection.

Hey, I'm glad we're on the same page on this one. It tells me that you are a serious customizer who's eager to improve upon their own work, and not just some attention-grabbing wanker. You can always rely on me to give it to you straight. Awesome, \m/! See you in the Realm.

I too am a fan of ol' Grif. He has the same feel as Gambit to me as a character. Gotta love those Starman bodies too, civilian clothed DCU! lol. Keep'em comin bro!
