So after realizing that the entire Oz series was public domain I starting writing my own Oz novel, and frankly the World of Oz lends itself to almost any genre. So I figured I would take it into a Western-esque genre...things are explained better in the story...what follows is a very short condensation of what's to come...
Wild World of Oz:
Oz has changed in the years Dorothy has been gone, now finding herself back in the country with no recollection of who or where she was, Glenda the Witch of the South, told her that to find herself she would have to leave Oz by crossing the Deadly Desert. She would not be alone, her old friend, the Lion, a gunslinger in this new Oz, would stay by her side as they crossed into a world unfamiliar to any of Oz. With the aid of a Golem who seeks a soul and an Iron Railsman the four allies must face things far worse than a single Wicked Witch.
