Grayson Batman, INC Version Custom Action Figure

Custom #:35729
Name:Grayson Batman, INC Version
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:DC Direct
Creator:EmeraldArcher
Date Added:January 8, 2012
Base Figure:Blackest Night Superman, Batman INC
Height:6.75 inches
Inspired by the release of "Leviathan Strikes", I cooked up some new members for my Batman, INC shelf. This new Grayson Batman uses some of the same parts from my previous version, but with a base figure body from a Blackest Night Superman. I had to sand off his sculpted Black Lantern costume details. Everything is hand-painted, including the chest symbol. I gave him a lighter blue tone to reflect how he looked in this story.

These look a lot like DangerDrVenture's work. Maybe Emerald Archer has DDV in his basement?

Great looking Grayson Bats, I especially like the paints in his mask and cowl.

Looks great - but it's a shame you didn't apply that nice hue of blue drybrushing to the bat-undies / gloves / boots. It really looks stellar.

I'm not so familiar with DC characters, love Batman of course, but I'm nlt so familiar with de character development.... But, talking about the custom work here, I just can say AWESOME... Specially the paintjob on the mask is terrific.

Thank you sir! The quick summary of this Batman is that Bruce Wayne got lost in time, and other characters were trying to replace him as Batman. To uphold his good name, Richard Grayson(the first Robin, now in his 20s) took on his identity until he could return from being lost in time.

Glad you like it!

I'm not 100% sold on it either, but it is hard to imagine Grayson having a scowl. Problem is, if he's pretending to be Batman, he would have to lay it on a bit. I think the exposed parts of his face match Quitely's version enough that I'm okay with it. I'm always looking for a better head, though.
Shinigami - Sunday, January 8, 2012
Oh wow, that's nice. I'm not entirely sold on the head, but the rest is wonderful.
