I gotta admit, I've loved this character since I was a kid and first read the mini-series. Yeah, he's a bit goofy looking and a rip-off of the Punisher (including his origin). But there was always something about his look (the mask, the camo, the colors, the laughing dog) that I found appealing. I've always wanted a figure of Wild Dog since I was a kid but was a bit intimidated by all the work a custom would involve. But when I saw the Young Justice Sportsmaster figure I knew it was time to try him.
So this one was a true labor of love, and took probably the most time of any custom I've ever attempted. The logo alone took over three hours and I had to stop for the night when I started getting cross-eyed from staring at it (while he looked back laughing at me!). Add my first attempt at camouflage, sculpting a mask on top of Sportsmasters to look more like a old-school goalie mask, the sleeves, etc, and this took a lot of work. But I love him! The legs and head are from the YJ Sportsmaster, the chest and shoulders are from a DCUC Alan Scott, while the arms are just your standard DCUC arms. Hope you guys like him, I know he may not be high on a lot of lists, but that's why I chose him, lol.
