This figure represents one of the most controversial heel turns (becoming a bad guy) in pro-wrestling history!
As a young WWF fan, I always wanted a figure of this version of Slaughter, one to put with Cobra. My own personal story was that Sarge was acting as a double-agent to get close to gather intel on Cobra's dealings in the Middle East...yeah...
This version of Sarge started off as leftovers from two Bench Press figures that were used to make...a ROC Sarge custom, modded a bit with Apoxy Sculpt to turn Bench's jersey into a button up shirt with pocket, medals, flag, etc. The head is custom cast from a BNB Sarge, and he's wearing a Maurauder's beret. Sorry guys, I purposely left off the Iron Sheik boots he had with the curled up/pointy toes...I thought he looked like a tool with those, even back then.
In the mini dio pic, Sarge is being interviewed by my custom Hector Ramirez and facing off with my custom "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.
