Since I never got any of the Six Million Dollar Man toys from Kenner back in the 70's when I was a kid (yes, I am THAT old), I set about making one of Col. Steve Austin - The Six Million Dollar Man himself (actually, I set about making two, one for myself and one for my older sister Carol, who actually had most of the toys from the Six Million Dollar Man and Bionic Woman collections...we used to fight over them as kids, so this was made as an homage to both our childhoods, and as a 30-something year long apology...LOL).
This one was a fairly easy one to do...relatively speaking, that is. I used a custom cast head from Chan Ada in China, and attached a variety of Hot Toys parts, along with a variety of hand sewn clothes purchased on the net to give him that 1970's look. It took about three to four weeks to put him together (and a bit of sanding of the custom cast neck cavity to make it fit snugly on the Hot Toys neck joint...never want to do one like this again), but once he was fully assembled, TA-DA...Col. Steve Austin - The Six Million Dollar Man!!!!
Please let me know what you guys think of him, and as always, comments are appreciated.
