There are some Darth Maul (3.75 in.) figures on my shelf and, i like them all, but I've got to admit none of them is my favorite one because none of them has a paintjob which make me say "wow awesome figure", other problem I find on these figures are the little horns, they just don't look like horns... thats the reason why I decide tom make my own Darth Maul.
I´ve seen many DM figures here on the realm, all of them awesome, and most of them exhibit a big sinister grin, when I started to look for the figure to be used as base, I knew one thing, I wanted a face showing a serenity expression, a face to look more like that scene where DM is introduced in Episode I.
Now on the custom. I used a WWE Randy Orton figure, acrylic paint, little bit of epoxic clay for the horns. the loincloth came from a Conan figure heavily modified to fit this figure and mixed wit fabric.
The most dificult part on this was the paintjob, all by hand :)
I really like how this evolved from a wrestler to a Dark Lord of the Sith.
Any comment welcome and thank you so much for looking :)
