This was a really fun figure to make. I cut Supe's cape off, then followed up with a snip snip of the little front curl on the head. The flared gloves, boot flaps, mask, heaed wings and a few other bits are sculpted via Sculpey. The scale mail was painstakingly glued on paper punched out with a 1/8" hole puncher. Thanks goes out to fastfreddie for the tip on how to make the scalemail. :)
The shield was a 99 cent convex mirror I got at Wal-Mart, which I hand painted. Thanks goes out to Kyle Robinson who suggested the possibility of the mirror for a Cap Shield. :-)
I cut two long strips from a MGS Revolver Ocelot's longcoat to make the straps for the back of the shield. I bought a button/snap set from Micheal's and superglued a piece of the snaps to each end of each "leather" strap and then superglued the other half of each snap to the back of the shield, so the shield can be easily removed.
It was incredibly painstaking... My wife has him proudly on display next to her computer (she's a huge Cap fan, hehe). I'm honored to be able to showcase my work to a group of such talented people as on this site. You're all what keeps me enjoying this hobby.
