I have been reworking old projects as I gain experience. Here is my latest: Scarlet Spider.
Recipe:
Hasbro Spiderman Series Iron Spider
Hasbro Marvel Legends Scarlet Spider head fully resculpted and web shooters
Batman Legacy Catman belt, shoulder straps and pouches
I cut away the brackets on his back and sculpted the sweatshirt and half sculpted/half painted the spider symbol. So far down side is that when he ab crunches, the bottom leg is hidden.
I dremeled down the web lines on the mask but still didn't like the shape so I resculpted it. I also sculpted the eyes.
I added a waist swivel since the original Iron Spider doesn't have one. I cut him at the waist then cut a recessed hole in the hip area to accept a DCUC waist swivel part. Then I cracked open the abs and used almost dried apoxy to accept the peg. Works great, but I am a little nervous with my kids playing with it. Luckily, no need for repairs on any yet!
I am badly in need of a flight stand and without one can't take any pics of the millions of cool jumping/swinging poses this guy can hit.
Thanks for looking!
