"Through the years I have been known by many names. Diablo Gato, The Furry Lover, Chupa Cabra, Frisky Two Times and then The Gingerhead man. But to most I am Puss in Boots, outlaw!"
Puss was made mostly from a MOTUC Chief Carnivus figure. The boots are from a MOTUC Snout Spout figure.
I removed the hair and sideburns (?) from Carnivus and filled in the gap with Aves Apoxie. I then sculpted it to make it look like the rest of the fur on his face. The whiskers are actual cat whiskers, cut down to size.
I gave the entire figure a black coat and then patiently dry brushed/painted in all the details. I kept referring to pics of DreamWorks' Puss In Boots to try to match his colors. I then sealed it with a matte coat.
I redid his loincloth by sculpting a new belt around his waist. I shortened the loincloth and sculpted his signature "P" on it.
I sculpted his signature hat using Aves Apoxie. I then added the yellow feather.
His cape is from a DCUC Sinestro Corps Batman. I cut it shorter, painted the bottom rim in red and added the head of a nail around the collar of the cape.
His signature sword is made using a long (sharp) needle and some weapon fodder I had lying around. The sword can slide into a string loop that I glue unto the left side of his belt. I immediately thought of Jin and his Dangerous Toys' site logo "Where playing becomes a hazard!" as I was working on this sword. I had to be very careful with that pointy needle tip.
Being that he's taller/bulkier than his movie counterpart, I wanted to also give him an additional, heavier sword...it's from Spawn Series 34 Poacher 2.
Now Chief Carnivus has an outlaw to look out for.
"I am but a humble gato in search of his next meal."
Thank you so much, fellow Realmers, for looking.
I hope you all like him.
