This was a painting exercise and kind of a experiment. I never painted fire before, and I thought that I could follow the same steps, more or less that I did when I painted the iced-up effect on x2 movie bobby Drake, but using red and yellows instead, of course. Well, it worked out. Believe me, the photos don´t make the figure justice. It looks great in person (plastic) and already displayed on my shelf. The recipe: I started with a coat of clear red, and followed with quite a few drybrushes, from orange to yellow on lighter tones progressively. What I really like is that the figure is still semi-translucent, thanks to the clear red base coat.
Hope you guys like him.
The flames look really cool.
