Jack O' Lantern Custom Action Figure

Custom #:38924
Name:Jack O' Lantern
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Marvel Legends
Date Added:May 5, 2012
Base Figure:Spider Sense Spiderman
Height:6.50 inches
Up next is the new Jack O' Lantern from the Venom series. Its like he was designed with my sensibilities in mind. Halloween themed outfit? A flaming pumpkin head? A FLYING BROOMSTICK?! LITTLE ROBOTIC DEVIL MINIONS?!?!?!?!?! Unfortunately, as a character he kind of sucks. His design, to me, screams evil, mysterious, inhuman mastermind, whereas it turns out he's just a trashy, foul mouthed, daddies boy hitman. Big let done to me. Only really cool thing about his character is his modus operandi: when he kills people, he cuts off the top of their head, scoops out their brains and eyes, puts the top back on, and lights candles in their eye sockets and mouth, turning them into human jack o' lanterns, which is awesomely gruesome.

Anywho, he's made entirely from an old Spider Sense Spiderman, with the exception of his hands which are from an Angel figure, his collar which is from long shot, and his head, which is a Stealth Venom hip ball, covered in hot glue then sculpted over. His broomstick is made from styrene with hot glue for the flames, and his base is from an ML1 Hulk with a flight stand attached to the back. The original plan was to load this guy up with a sickle, a couple of those robotic devils, and put one of his victims with the carved out head on the base, but i just got tired of working on him, so here he is.

Ahhh, Jack-o-lantern has always been kinda stupid, but this is a cool design. And that's a neat thing to do to your victims.
I love the head you made. That is a real killer execution and really makes the whole piece. Nice job.
Whiskeytango - Thursday, May 10, 2012
yeah, he's always been lame. This is a different guy though, getting farther removed from being a green goblin knock off.

thanks cab. Credit for the possibilities this base figure offers goes to double dealer though, he was the first person I saw use it for something other than spiderman

Some of the photos are a little dark, but even still they work you put into the base figure really makes you do a second take when you realize it once was a spidey! Great work, too bad he burnt you out before you got to your intended accessories. He does still have a lot of cool gear here though!
Whiskeytango - Saturday, May 5, 2012
yeah, I'm bummed about the accessories too, but I just couldn't stand to do anymore on it
