Faust was made using mostly a DCUC Desaad figure. The only other parts were the lower legs, which came from the Spectre, and the gold collar, which came from El Dorado's cape. I cut away his hood and then had to resculpt his skull since there was no back of his head inside the hood. After that I sliced off a piece of a wrestler's leather trenchcoat and glued it around his head making slits so that the head could still turn properly. Finally I sculpted on the top part of his helmet. The piece atop his helmet was made using a toothpick and a moon sliced off the chest of a DCUC Doctor Mid-Nite figure.
I wasn't sure how he'd turn out from concept to finished product, but I'm very satisfied with the way he looks. As one of the JLA's oldest foes, Faust is way over due for some respect from Mattel.
he was one of my big wants before the line's fizzle.
nice work!
