This is my second attempt at Tim Drake in his Red Robin outfit. I wasn't quite satisfied with my first one, so I decided to have a second go at it. I couldn't be more pleased with the finished product this time!

Recipe:
Body -- DCUC Black Lantern Abin Sur
Head -- DCUC Batman
Forearms -- DCUC Tim Drake Robin
Belts -- DCUC Batman (two different figures)
Cape -- MM Batman (Dark Knight version)

First I removed the head and forearms from the Abin Sur figure, attached the forearms from a fodder Robin figure. Took a Batman head, shaved down the ears and the jaw to resemble Tim's, then attached it to the figure. Used belts from a couple Batman figures for the chest and waist. The boot "armor" was cut from styrene, the chest logo from some plastic. Used a cape from a Movie Masters Dark Knight Batman, with a little extra added from a random cape to make it reach the chest. Used acrylic paints and clear coats. Added a piece of electrical wire for his staff and done!

As I said, I am VERY excited that this turned out so much better than my previous attempt! Any suggestions welcome, hope you enjoy and thanks for looking!

Amaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing! Love the detail work and how well it came out. Any plans to do a Connor Kent Superboy to go along with him?

Yes, I hope to do Connor, as well as a few other key characters in Tim Drake's circle of friends as I am able to come up with respective recipe's.

That's very good work.
All those parts come together real nice. Good solid paintwork too, and I love the black lines you put on his chest.
Did you have to shorten the legs of the Abin Sur figure? That thing is really tall for Tim.

I want to, but that's something I haven't experimented with much yet. Open to any tips though!

Glitch - Saturday, May 26, 2012
Yeah, it always bugs me that there isn't one that actually depicts him as a teenager and not a body builder.

Thanks everyone! I have seen lots that others have made that I love, but the same problem I had with my own was that all look too muscular to be Tim Drake. I feel like this base figure most closely fit his build in the comics. Thanks for the praise
