Thanks man, the brand of paint I use are called FolkArt. Obviously they are acrylic "plaid" colors. The yellow base is called French Vanilla, number 431. The tan / brown I used is Burnt Sienna, number 943. The transition color between the two I made by simply mixing the two, 3 drops french vanilla, 1.5 drops burnt sienna. The other small details on his head are just flat black.

Ah, I've heard of the folk art paints. Is their adhesion that good though? I was always under the impression the Walmart acrylics brands didn't work well in the long-term with toy plastics re: durability.

I appreciate the paint names and ratios though - that'll help when I finally find time to finish off the multitude of expanded-universe predators I started work on last year.

The key to making them adhere is to wash the figures with a little soap and hot water. The base Coats I use only flake off if there is paint rub, other than that, I haven't had any problems with them. The older figures I solved any doubt by spraying with automotive clear coats, but here lately I've been washing the figures with soap, and on a few I've had to start over on some areas and I've scrubbed my butt off with a toothbrush and hot water, and it won't come off, so, I don't have any issues. I think if the prep work is good, it should be fine.

Then again, I don't rehandle them that much. I get all my stuff at Hobby Lobby and Michaels tho. I wasn't aware walmart sold them lol
