Base Figure:DCU captain cold, ML movie DD
Height:6.00 inches
Hello

I have been wanting to do this for a long time, but I havn´t found the right base figure..till I saw captain cold. Thought he would be perfect for movie DD uniform. Problem is, he was shorter than I expected. Seems the 6 inches height is very variable...well, you can´t have it all, I guess. But the main thing I wanted fo my DD movie figure, I did get. Articulation. And I am satisfied with that. I used cap cold body, DD head and holster and longshot collar. I was going to sculpt a closed collar but in the end I went for the open collar look. I dremmelled cap´s fur on gloves and boots, sculpted uniform and boot details and painted.
I know, sculpting is not my strong point, and it may look stonehenghish...also, this particular figure gave me a lot of trouble with paints. I dremelled, sanded and superglued joints to prevent paint rub, but, paint didn´t seem to adhere well, and took a lot of time..

hope you like it and comment on it.

PD. I didn´tlike the movie, just the aestethic of the uniform!!

That design looks cool when you make a toy of it.
It's way cool-looking.
And don't sell your sculpting short. No, it's not quite at the level of some guys, but it's not bad either. You did a pretty decent job with costume details.

Don´t mind at all. Au contraire, I´d be flattered, and would love to see your version. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

Dude...it's so much better than TB version. I hate original AF. I'm trying to do same version here for me to. Your work inspired me to try to complete this one...Congrats.

I like what you did with the deep red colors, and also think the slightly shorter base figure is actually more film accurate. This is one tough looking devil.

That looks FANTASTIC! Nice work all around!!

This actually looks a lot better than the actual movie appearance. I Usually don't like DCUC builds but when used in the right situation they are really striking.

WOW, ITS REALLY HARED TO TELL THAT IT WAS DC UNIVERSE AFTER THE AMAZING WORK DONE HERE!
The Watcher - Tuesday, May 29, 2012
I hated the movie but loved DD's look. Great job!

Yeah, the movie was kinda bland. They could've done so much better even with Ben Affleck being a lifelong DD fan. The costume was killer and this custom rocks the free world!
