I wish I could say more about this custom and what it means to me but in doing so it would reveal who I am (cursed contest).
Samus was formerly a Microman figure. After some Microparts swapping and some heavy sculpting we get Samus here. This figure is a nightmare to create but the end results are well worth it. The easiest part of the whole thing is the painting.
The hardest part of her was the shoulders. I needed to have them as large balls and yet make it possible for some killer poses. I ended up using Bedamon balls and bored out 2 sections 1 for the Microman joint and the bottom was for the peg used.
I sawed off the end of a gun barrel and attached it to the right arm then used brass fasteners for the round section and applied sculpt for the fill and detailes.
The helmet came from a Xevoz figure with VERY heavy sculpt work. The only part of the head that is still the Xevoz is the small green face plate the rest has bee n sculpted.
I wasn't completely happy with just the Helmet look and decided to make an alternate head for her as well. I stripped the Microman head and softened it to look effeminate. I then added the pony tail off of Omega Red!
Well thats it! A whole 4" of super poseable greatness that shall forever grace my shelf! Now unto a Metroid and A Galactic Marine!!
