I have always liked the look of anthropomorphized animals. One of the best are those based off dinosaurs. This guy was originally designed to be a re-vamped Godzilla, but I couldn't find a tail I liked or the right sized dorsal plates for that matter.
So, I made the lizard a humanoid lizard-king!
The design could also work as a re-tooling of the reptilian visitors off V. Your choice!

The head is from a Giganotosaurus figure produced by Resaurus back in the late nineties. I think the line was called "Carnage Dinosaurs".
What are the figurines in the background? They look like ancient idol statues. Like the sort of thing the archeologists find in Lovecraft stories.
The pieces you see in the background are just part of an old chess set.
