My Justice League batman got very loose and would not stand up straight anymore so i thought i experiment with him. my first custom figure im happy how he turned out. Replaced the head and the hands, then started painting.
Usually a good scrub-down with soap helps, but sometimes you'll need to dremel away some of the surface of the joints so that it can take paint better. And always do multiple coats!
