Phoenix Custom Action Figure

With the experience gained from making the Dark Phoenix custom, this one took less time to make and was just as fun. Using the same base figure & head combo, her expression was painted to look more calm, and closer to human form. The hair was sculpted from apoxie and her sash made from folded thin plastic. Converting a Naruto playset ice accessory into a telekinetic fire base took longer to make then the actual custom. The tips of the ice panel were re-sculpted to appear like flames, and smaller flames cut from plastic, were sculpted on to the inside to help prop the figure up. Several layers of acrylic were mixed and applied with dry brush for the fire effect. A much more unified looking fire than the first one, and appears like her mind's in control of it.
