This guy was a lot more complicated than the finished piece looks. The first issue was with the legs, which came off a DCUC Jonah Hex figure. Unfortunately, unlike every other DCUC figure I'm aware of, the waist peg was actually a part of the waist, so when I cracked Jonah open, the peg split with the waist. This wouldn't really have been an issue except the peg didn't fit with either upper torso I had planned on using(my first choice was Alan Scott, but had to settle with Doctor Mid-Nite). So I basically had to sand the waist peg off and glue a new one on, which in and of itself became a challenge that forced me to re-open the figure a couple times. I won't bore you further with details but just wanted anyone who attempts this to know that it isn't the easiest custom and I'd recommend plastic epoxy as opposed to superglue.
So, the legs came from a DCUC Jonah Hex figure, just sanded down the boots and sculpted on some cuffs. The top belt is also from the DCUC Hex figure, whereas the lower belt is from a NECA Jonah Hex. The torso came off of a Doctor MId-Nite figure and the arms are from Alan Scott. The gloves are from Hex as well. The head is off of Ultraman from the Crime Syndicate set. The hat and motorcycle came from the Marvel Legends Legendary Riders Logan variant. The bandana was just cloth off an actual bandana (took me a few tries to get one I was happy with).
Overall, a much more time consuming custom than I had anticipated, but I've been a huge fan of this character since he appeared in the All-Star Squadron in the 80's, and I"m pretty happy with how he turned out. Hope you guys like him too!
