Watcher Plant

Strange flora that can be encountered in the Earth World region of From Software's 1998 Shadow Tower Playstation roleplaying video game. While a Watcher Plant can deliver painful slaps with its serrated leaves at close range, it is the vegetation's baleful eye that an adventurer must truly be wary of, for it can emit deadly beams of searing light that will pierce armor and flesh alike.

Materials:
Newsprint, white glue, wire twist ties, acrylic paint, and gloss nail polish.

Dimensions:
6.5 cm/2.6 in. x 6.9 cm/2.7 in. (widest point x highest point)

Blood Skull

Giant skulls embedded in sentient crimson gore. These creatures can be encountered in the Earth World region of From Software's 1998 Shadow Tower Playstation roleplaying video game. The monsters Blood Skull and Acid Skull share the same polygon game model but differ in color and combat capability. While significantly slower than their caustic cousins, these perpetually bleeding horrors have the ability to exhale clouds of poisonous vapor from their toothy maws.

Materials:
Newsprint, white glue, acrylic paint, and gloss nail polish.

Dimensions:
4.3 cm/1.7 in. x 2.3 cm/0.9 in. (widest point x highest point)

Time:
Two days: June 18 and 19, 2012.

*****

Casket

Necrotic trees that can be encountered in the Earth World region of From Software's 1998 Shadow Tower Playstation roleplaying video game. Despite their threatening appearance, Caskets are completely immobile and will never physically attack anyone. However, these gruesome plants are so tainted by the aura of death that any living thing that draws too close to one will have its life force rapidly leeched away--the bones of previous victims, littering the surrounding area, attest to the effectiveness of this deadly miasma. One would think that a stationary target would be easy to strike, but, unfortunately, that is not the case; Caskets are unnatural entities and they continuously fade in and out of reality--the creatures can only be physically harmed during the brief moments when they're actually solid.

Materials:
Newsprint, white glue, wire twist ties, and acrylic paint.

Dimensions:
5.8 cm/2.3 in. x 5.9 cm/2.3 in. (widest point x highest point)

Time:
Two days: June 18 and 19, 2012
