Avengers Hulk Custom Action Figure

Custom #:40578
Name:Avengers Hulk
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Marvel Icon
Date Added:July 5, 2012
Base Figure:Rotocast 2003 Movie Hulk
Height:12.00 inches
After I watched the movie (like, quite literally when I got back home) I had to make myself a Huffalo.(I did draw a couple pics)But I NEEDED to sculpt something. I was waiting for getting a 6 inch to mod(which I will still eventually do)but I saw how crazy that was to show up
I had an old roto hulk with both wrists broken that i had to a little carried away :) Spent the rest of my Friday evening making a Huffalo face :)
(oh, yeah, re-sculpted the torso arms and hands, opened one even :)

Thanks people, I'm glad you all value the work I had on this one, I must say, I didn't even expect, I did this solely for my own satisfaction and it cheers me up to see that much love

this is cool! it looks just like him! I was impressed they even did the hair. men NEED chest hair, that's why they're men. otherwise they're a bunch of little boys running around in leotards....

Whoa! Perfection !!!!!
grungethemovie - Friday, July 6, 2012
thx! well, I'm not very by the book, of all brands and refinements there are in the world of sculpting, I still use a plumber putty I can find here in Brazil, it's called Durepoxi, by Loctite
King Louis - Saturday, July 7, 2012
What kind or brand of paints and color did you use Sir? the most movie accurate colors I've seen.
grungethemovie - Tuesday, July 10, 2012
thanks, but it's not perfect :/ but believe me, it hurts me more than anyone else

Incredible sculpt work and attention to detail!!!! That chest hair looks real!!! What kind of clay do you sculpt with?
grungethemovie - Friday, July 6, 2012
mighty putty for the buck (yes, Billy Mays!) and epoxi for the details
bet1 - Friday, July 6, 2012
Fantastic!! Thank you.
King Louis - Friday, July 6, 2012
what brand and colors did you use sir! I am now a follower
ringomendoza - Friday, July 6, 2012
this is insane! you got mad skills at sculpting, bro! and that paints..wish I could get that last tone of green right..
grungethemovie - Friday, July 6, 2012
you mean the lighter or the darker?
ringomendoza - Friday, July 6, 2012
I meant the lighter. I am re-repainting my walmart avengers version and I´m not quite happy with it yet. Should ´ve left it like he was, with 4 diff greens. Now Í´m going for the sixth green drybrush...
grungethemovie - Friday, July 6, 2012
well, I used very close shades of green
I always mixed the shadow and highlight with the base color
the base is vallejo's golden olive I did a olive+gloss green wash and for highlights, I mixed it with some yellow and tan from modelmasters
but I did a afrikacorps wash on top of everything to take away the glossiness and saturation
grungethemovie - Friday, July 6, 2012
thanks everyone, sure the warmth helps in producing more and better in the future!
(I bought a legends to mod as soonas I get him, and want a select later too

Heroes Assembled Customs - Thursday, July 5, 2012
Ridiculous. Just amazing and ridiculous.

*Looks at Marvel Select Hulkallo with disdain and tosses it in the trash.*
grungethemovie - Friday, July 6, 2012
if you feel disdain for your ms hulk now, don't trash it, send it to me
Mr.Smiley - Thursday, July 5, 2012
pulpyfiction - Thursday, July 5, 2012
Aw Yeah! Now that is what I'm talking about! This is awesome, between the amazing sculpts and the layers of greens, this is one amazing Hulk! I definitely love the fine details here, the body hair is phenomenal! Really great work!
grungethemovie - Friday, July 6, 2012
thanks, again, I don't know how you can see that much on those small pics, maybe its cause you saw the other one with the palette
The Watcher - Thursday, July 5, 2012
Nice! Very cool!!
NeCrollector - Thursday, July 5, 2012
Awesome work! I love that last pic...CLASSIC!
grungethemovie - Friday, July 6, 2012
thanks, HAD to do it
Banner/HULK Inc. - Thursday, July 5, 2012
Wow, awesome! Looks very much like the Hulk from the Avengers. Brilliant use of the rotocast base figure to make a huge version. Details on the face make it spot on accurate. I think it will fit well with Marvel Select Avengers. Great job!
grungethemovie - Friday, July 6, 2012
he's a bit too big for ms, he fits well with 10 inch I think
