This was a completely random idea. If you've ever heard of, or seen, the Marvel Superhero Squad show, the second season brought this variation of the Surfer in. He got the Infinity Sword and Infinity Gauntlet, and it corrupted him. He ended up turning himself into the literal Dark Surfer. I thought the idea was pretty cool, and since I had a Surfer and needed an extra figure for the week decided to give him a shot. Used the sword from the actual Superhero Squad Doom attached to a ROC Storm Shadow sword hilt. Took a Captain America gauntlet and added sculpt to it to fill the gap at the end and add the stones. I literally fixed my own custom Infinity Gauntlet to match the one in the show as accurately as I could. Repainted the sword to do the same. Surfer himself was just a simple dark metallic repaint. It's not too noticeable in the pictures, but if you happen to hold up a regular Silver Surfer next to him you can really see the difference. It was a fun figure and I think he integrated well into the world of Marvel Universe. lol
