I had wanted to make a Clayface figure for a long time, but couldn't figure out the right base figure to use. I opened up the "mutating" Abomination figure (with Blonksy figure that fits in the back) and it hit me that this would be ideal. Hope it worked. DAS air-drying clay (how appropriate!), two-part epoxy putty and Tamiya "toothpaste" putty, with multiple coats of paint to achieve a muddy colour.
This is a revisiting of that custom and something of an overhaul. I sculpted more detail onto the figure so that it has more of flowing, caking mud look, and re-sculpted the mace hand - all the spikes are sculpted from epoxy putty. Repainted, and he's good to go! My main gripe is that he's still a little too short and short on articulation as well, but I think it works for the time being.
