Scarecrow - Jonathan Crane (Cillian Murphy) Custom Action Figure

Custom #:41382
Name:Scarecrow - Jonathan Crane (Cillian Murphy)
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Movie Masters
Date Added:August 1, 2012
Base Figure:Batman Movie Masters Suit Scarecrow
Height:5.80 inches
I've always wondered why Mattel never gave us an unmasked Scarecrow for the Movie Masters collection, and decided to make one as several customisers have before. The base body is from a Movie Masters suit Scarecrow, with twisty ties for the vest and sculpt for the tie underneath. The coat is from a Movie Masters Joker with bits of cloth from a Scarecrow mask accessory glued at the shoulders and the head is from a Spider-Man movie Norman Osborn figure (sanded down to reduce the wrinkles and repainted), with spectacles cut out from bubble packaging (that part was a pain). The gas cloud is some cotton wool glued to a small plastic tube (removeable).

Thank you - that kind of visceral response is really rewarding!

nice work jedd! that jacket is perfect, and your gas effect is looking good, but sorry chester, you may think you invented the cotton smoke/fog effect, guys have been doing this for years, longer than you have been posting on this site. I'm pretty sure guys like jin, kyle robinson, and shinobitron did it forever ago.

Hey, thanks Pulpy! Yep, sorry Chester, but I am pretty sure that the cotton wool trick has been around for a long time. I think we used that for smoke for the chimneys in the houses we made in kindergarten. I just didn't want to offend nobody.

good job dude

Thanks Chester. The gas cloud effect that you used was indeed quite effective - Xysma used it for a custom of the X Files Cigarette-Smoking Man as well and I've seen several other uses of cotton wool as clouds/smoke.
