I found this r/c car at my local swap meet. I immediately was drawn to it. The car looked like a cross between the movie batmoblie tumbler and a futuristic race car. You can't tell from the pics but the back tires are enormous like the tumbler's. The front has a sleek design and even has flairs that look like something a batmobile should have. It even came equipped with missile launchers on one side and side blades on the other. I imagine the missiles could contain tear gas for crowd control and the side blades are in place so Batman can slash the tires of the bad guy's car during a pursuit. Both very useful crime fighting tools.
I took apart the entire car and ripped out all the mechanics. This was quite an ordeal since I am not a very mechanically savvy person. It took me a couple of days to get it totally dismantled then when it was time to put it back together I forgot how it fit together. After a few frustrating hours I was able to reassemble it. I made a cockpit large enough to fit a DCSH Batman 6 inch figure. And even made a batmoblile inspired steering wheel. Spray painted the entire car in flat black and painted the wind shield silver. Finally I added the bat symbol for the front license plate. I know traditionally the batmoblie doesn't have the symbol on it but I thought it would add a bit of color to break up the monotony. I actually completed this custom a few months ago before I got my airbrush. Currently working on some Iron man customs and I am experimenting with airbrushing Alclad chrome. If the airbrushing comes out decent I might strip the Batmoblie and airbrush it, but I am not sure. Please let me know what you think and God Bless!!
Very COOL!
