When I saw DCUC Guardian figures on clearances, I picked two up as they looked the perfect base bodies for just about anything. Plain, standard superhero DCUC bucks. The cowled head made me think "Red Robin", but I'm not really a fan of the comics look as it was a little close to Dr Mid-Nite. The New 52 version is better, but a little busy. So I went for something of an in-between by losing the cape and tunic, and making the bandoliers narrower. The chest emblem and the belt compartments and buckle was sculpted, and the chest straps and boot details were made from twisty ties. I also made the nose a little more "beak-like" with a bit of sculpt. It was a nightmare to get the red paint on to this. I don't get it, because I washed the figure and even sanded down some of the joints, but the red paint always came out lumpy even after multiple thinner coats. Still, hope you guys like this one.
