Hey again, Realmers! Next up is my 3rd take on a favorite classic character that continues to prove worthy over the test of time. Having his own show on Adult Swim, featuring on the Danger Doom album (in partnership with Adult Swim), back to comics and most recently guest-starring on the unfortunately cancelled, Batman: The Brave and the Bold cartoon seires, on the episode titled,"Sapce Safari"!
SO, this time I used an all white DC Universe base body; Lightray. Completely disassembled Lightray and the Toynami Space Ghost figures. I Stripped the burghundy red "undies" from Lightrays pelvic area, also the gold boot paint that was on the ankles, taking it down to the white plastic. Gentleman Ghosts ankle rockers, feet from fodder bin. I primered each individual part, then aribrushed on Testors Model Masters flat white. Dremmeled down the emblem on the Toynami Space Ghosts chest until I got a perfect triangle. I Resculpted the neck and chest to make flush with the Toynami emblem and head, attached the cape, modded the head to pivot and swivel around. I cut, smoothed and modded the red power gauntlets to fit just below Lightrays elbow joint. Perfect wsap for DC Universe scale! I also stripped the cape of any stains and paints, making it a clean, bursting bright yellow. The belt is from DC U the Atom with the paint stripped off, and to my benefit the belt plastic is already black! The red strip on the front of the belt is from DCU Mercurys triangular chest plate. The interchangable hands, energy projectile and other accessories really add to the figure!
MF DOOM is made from a NECA The Spirit Goon figure with sculpted trademark metal mask. Microphone is from a wrestling figure and his sneakers are as well. I took some Matty wrestler hands and modded then to fit onto the wrists, giving DOOM a little more articulation.
Thanks for checking out my fun final take on Space Ghost and MF DOOM. Keep posting, y'all! Peace.
