It seemed as normal a day as any in Skyloft, the new recruits were racing to see who would get the chance to join the Knights. The last time this had happened Link and the headmaster’s daughter, Zelda had gone to the surface to form a new land. Occasionally some of the Knights would make the trek to the surface to aid, Karane had very little urge to do that. Skyloft was her home, and this is where she would stay, or so she had thought.
A strange mist was slowly moving through the sky towards Skyloft, the Knights had been dispatched to get a closer look. Karane and her Loftwing were circling near the mist, when something reached from inside it. She felt herself being pulled into the mist, the other Knights trying to rescue her to no avail. In the center of the Mist a red portal had opened up, and it was pulling the bird and rider into it. Karane was ripped from her Loftwing as the bird broke free, with no chance of rescuing its rider the bird left the Mist.
The portal dropped her into a dark room, stone walls with various images carved into them surrounded her. In the center of the room was an empty pedestal, coated with cobwebs, untouched for decades at the least. Making her way to the pedestal Karane saw a rusted sword on the ground, and a slot on the pedestal for it to rest. Karane lifted the sword, placing it into the pedestal, a faint whisper echoed through the halls.
“You have released me…”
The sword began to glow as a door opened up, a shadow started rising from the sword, no longer rusted.
Karane fled through the door, before running out onto a mountain cliff, stopping just shy of the falling from the edge. The shadow was becoming human shaped, fleeing from the cavern sword in hand, knocking Karane from the ledge. Unsure what to do, she whistled as if calling for her Loftwing…
What came was not a Loftwing, but something else entirely, a winged reptile caught the falling girl, soaring through the sky. What she saw was a world unlike anything she could imagine…a world of darkness…
I liked Karane from Skyward Sword, she didn’t do all that much, but I liked the character. As such I decided to make my own version of her (had her hat made, but it looked ridiculous, so dropped it). I also decided to give her a spear...simply because I could see the Skyloft Knights as Dragoons.
Body: Avengers Loki (look at the figure, minus the jacket, it definitely has a feminine shape to it)
