AOA has always been one of my favourite stories, set in an alternate universe where Sabretooth is actually one of the good guys. So when my pal Jake Z asked me to make this for him i was stoked!!! Really wanted to do it justice. The sabretooth was pretty easy, but wouldnt be right without his lil buddy Wildchild.
For Sabretooth all i did was add the long hair and the belt thing, and give him a fresh new paint job.
Wildchild was a little more of a pain!!! I wanted him to able to crouch and be animal like, i searched and searched for the right base Figure for ages. Finally found a Gollum from Lord of the Rings. He was perfect for articulation, however the size didnt look right in comparison to Sabretooth. This was where the fun started!!! His arms and legs i had to cut off below the elbow and the knee joints. I removed about 10mm from each limb, and glued back together with those section missing. I used a pin in between to strengthen a little more. Added sculpting putty around the joints, which helped to keep him strong in those parts, also defined the muscle areas a little more. I cut off the head, and replaced it with the current one. This was actually this weird lil thing i got from an Indiana Jones figure. It was a head coming out of a cup, i removed the cup (obviously)and fixed to the figure. Unfortunately this is a static head, but it seemed so perfect with the tongue out. Sculpted on his neck brace thing, and the hair, and fixed in a chain. Finished off with a fresh paint job and this is the result!!!
Hope ya like it.
