I wanted to own a six inch-ish scale Black Canary so I could have a Birds of Prey core team (and someone for my Green Arrow figure to make out with). The DCUC version would be ideal, but I haven't seen it at an okay price yet and came across the Identity Crisis version and got it instead. When I got it out of the box, I realise that those Michael Turner-esque female proportions didn't exactly translate very well to 3D action figure form, and as such she looked a little awkward. The eyebrows weren't pronounced enough as they were a very pale blonde and sort of disappeared into the face, and the lips were also a very pale pink, which gave her face a kind of insect-like appearance (when combined with the large eyes). So I repainted the hair, eyebrows and lips to make them "pop" a little more. I also like Black Canary's short jacket, and gave her a vest. The proportions were so weird that any six or seven inch figure jacket/vests didn't work, so the one I ended up using was from, believe it or not, a 3 3/4 inch Indiana Jones figure. Gave that several coats of blue paint and got it on her. The Oracle figure in the last photo is a custom.
