I was really impressed by the new TMNT figures like many others, but considering how much detail is in the original sculpt of each turtle and splinter I felt I had to give these guys a shot at trying to make those details pop. I've been slowing working on each of these guys in the past 2 1/2 weeks. So here's my attempt at giving these guys a go.

Donny-Torn apart, gave joints more clearance room to move especially the head (each joint being sanded to avoid paint rub), washed, then painted up with a dark scheme reminiscent of his vintage toy counterpart. Gave him a base like the others but had to cobble together pieces of fodder to make it seem like a small section of his workshop.

I know a bunch of people are doing these TMNT redecos, but I don't know if anyone has made a Donny like this yet, if so then props to you.

Thanks for Looking & Please Enjoy!

Awesome paint job! How did you get your turtle apart? I am new to the customizing game, and was just wondering if you had a tip on how to get the nick tmnt toys disassembled?

Best way to get these guys to open up is either with a hair drier or super hot water. Heat up the joints and the plastic becomes soft and the TMNT figs should pop apart. On a side note the joints will need to be sanded to prevent excessive paint rub.

The figures themselves are cool, I love the vintage colour scheme, but the bases and accessories are what make these truly unique. SHIN STYLE
