ah...sincerely there's no limit to how many hulks i can have, specially the adorable hulkalo @_@

for the recipe, let's play a game of spot the differences!
you guys tell me what you notice I have changed on the figure and i reply about them, yey! :)
the more specific you are, the more pretend points you make!

points for everyone cause no one mentioned the legs :)
the legs are already perfect WRONG! Try to pose your walmart hulk looking down like the last picture...not quite huh?

1)enhanced extension on ankle joint

the head is a given right? but i kept till you noticed cause i wanted to talk about it later

2)sculpted head - i wanted to give him what i consider his "neutral" expression in the movie. It's kinda angry, but not furious, if you look up-down he looks angrier, if you look from down-up he's got that dazed, almost child-like innocence look (althought looking at my pics now, i guess i didn't put one really good to show this XD)
oh, and i forgot before, i cut his head to give him wider range of movement, hulk doesn't need some neck on his head sculpt, he needs to be able to look up higher :)

3)did you, hasbro walmart avengers hulk owner, notice the double joint on hulks elbows don't work as they're supposed to? the top one is rather useless with his biceps and only moves one click, so i compensated that one click and extended his articulation and killed that joint with sculpt (again, stupid me, no pic here shows the full extent of the elbow joint XD)

4)all peg holes filled

5)this figure is already very awesome cause they got the mass right, usually they don't. but this has got all the roundness he's supposed to look massive. the muscles sculpt don't reflect that too well though, so I worked on his silhouette beefing his shoulders

6)sculpting over his chest, and "turtle shell" neck and back muscles for better shape
and cutting the shoulder muscles into the chest, works for a better presentation of bulkiness and also movement imho(like face-off hulk). also the armpits, you gotta give big guys a place they can rest their massive arms close to the body

7) i put the belly separate cause i had to sculpt over and inside the chest to get that chubby yet muscled belly working - call me whatever you like, when i left the movie i was all impressed by that XD so i resculpted the top of the pants too, but just a bit, just to complete the curve i made on the stomach and also made the cut on the chest less straight and following the muscle lines a bit more.

well, at this point i think that's it, but if you compare you can always find stuff i just didn't explain well, for that i'll change a pic to a wip , so you guys can see better

ta-da! hope you guys like our little game and of course the figure itself, it was a lot of fun work and i can't wait for my next Hulkalo. which size will that be?

PS: Dear Hasbro, please release Iron Man Mark VII already, or I WILL make one myself.
Best Regards

If only Hasbro could make something this good, "Sigh". Great job man! And if you ever decide to cast that head, let me know, cause I wants one!
Jmanjot Customs - Thursday, January 3, 2013
Same thoughts! I want one to! I would put it on the select hulk.
grungethemovie - Tuesday, June 25, 2013
thanks! it would´t fit a Marvel Select though... (but making a MS is not an idea I haven't flirted with for a while...)

Absolutely incredible! How come the original sculptor couldn't add the details that you did to make it even more accurate?
grungethemovie - Sunday, August 26, 2012
I guess they didn't have the final version yet, cause I think the release is actually really good, close to the Sideshow maquette

This is FREAKING sweet! You nailed this one out of the park! I have problems looking at my Hasbro Hulkallo because of what you've done here! Damn your awesomeness!
The sculpt worked out great. I was really looking forward to how you were going to paint it, and you really did a great job with the tones, and the work you did on the hairy chest! Great stuff!!!!
grungethemovie - Sunday, August 26, 2012
glad you dig it
BDCdiesel - Saturday, August 25, 2012
Awesome work man. One of the better Hulkallos I've seen. Ha ha, what didn't you change? Filled in peg-holes, beefed up shoulders. Did you eliminate his double jointed elbows?
grungethemovie - Saturday, August 25, 2012
I was wondering if no one would notice that!
BDCdiesel - Saturday, August 25, 2012
Woohoo! that was an oddly fun imaginary contest, a lot of fun. I hope you do it again.

Bushinryus40th - Saturday, August 25, 2012
Really awesome work you did here to set your self apart from the many repaints that have been done on this figure. Not to discredit anyone who has because those are awesome too. From the look of things chap it appears you''ve done some major sculpt to the chest area adding some extra bulk as well as fully percolated nipples. Also there appears to be work done to the abdominals and possibly the bicep. I am also under the belief that there was sculpting done on the thighs. The most obvious definitely would be the head which I must point out looks amazing. Overall this figure is superb great work! Did I miss anything?
grungethemovie - Sunday, August 26, 2012
thanks, you got almost everything, but I didn't touch the thighs (well, besides painting)
Banner/HULK Inc. - Saturday, August 25, 2012
Wow!!! That's the best Avengers movie Hulk, very accurate and detailed. Face sculpt, body hair, resculpted muscles on torso and the painting are all perfect!
grungethemovie - Sunday, August 26, 2012
well, thanks, there are a lot of awesome avengers movie customs, and I believe a lot will keep coming
NeCrollector - Saturday, August 25, 2012
Hulk SMASH!!!! ...and looks freaking awesome! You've added some amazing detail!
Oh...and that last pic is CLASSIC!
grungethemovie - Monday, August 27, 2012

*Thank you, my friend. Your kind words are verily appreciated and bring warmth to my heart.
fastfreddie - Saturday, August 25, 2012
I love the mods you have done to this! The face is awesome and I like his bulkier look! I really like the shade of green of this(instead of the movie colors)
grungethemovie - Saturday, August 25, 2012
well, it is actually the movie colors, just a happier light
and points to you for noticing the bulk
ringomendoza - Saturday, August 25, 2012
Best hulkallo ever. Completely modified. Not just another repaint (like mine...). As for the recipe, it is obvious, apart for the nipples, that the torso, head and arms have been modified with sculpt, adding a LOT of realism to the piece. This is incredible, amazing, spectacular, astonishing and uncanny, all at once.
ringomendoza - Saturday, August 25, 2012
I just noticed, in my 15th look at this beast today..You also cut some plastic off the shoulder area? brilliant. I immagine it gives the fig a wider range of movement and helps avoid paint rub, while still looking natural. Am I right?
ringomendoza - Saturday, August 25, 2012
this goes under the face sculpting section, but you shortened the huge space between the upperlip and the nose?
grungethemovie - Saturday, August 25, 2012
it's a different face
well, I kept his ears, some of the hair and just the very eyes inside, but don't tell anyone
and the torso, I will address it later, but you sir got yourself some points!
AREZ - Saturday, August 25, 2012
This an AMAZINGLY AWESOME HULK BRO. Ok, new face (or MS Hulk's head), upper body and nipples sculpt.
grungethemovie - Sunday, August 26, 2012
thanks, see if MS hulk looks like mine, they must be doing something right...
