I wanted an Ed McGuinness styled Power Girl but didn't want to wait for the official release. I found the Superwoman figure cheap at the local comic book shop and was inspired to go from there. There is little alteration to the base figure. I sculpted the chest, gloves, boot flaps and the clasps for the cape. The rest is just paint.
I based it off of several sources. I liked the two clasp costume, especially on one of the Birds of Prey covers. She had shorter looking hair on that issue and in a Adam Hughes sketch I saw so I wanted to see how it would translate into action figure form. Well, that and I'm terrible at sculpting hair so I wanted to play it safe. :)
I'm pleased with the results of my first 6" custom. I have done some Shockinis and JLU figures as well that I'll post later on. Enjoy.
