Hi all! Up here is my 2nd custom. Judge Dredd!.

This is based on the new movie version. When i saw the trailer i was blown away and knew i had to do this figure!

I scoured google for pics, and went through the trailer frame by frame (no seriously!)

Used punisher as the base and sculpted the rest. he's a bit rough round the edges, and to be honest i rushed it a little as i wanted to
get him done before the movie comes out.

He's finished in a battle weathered look. and some details like the the name on his badge are missing (my eye sight isnt as good as it used to be!)

The shoulder pads (being the mortal enemy of articulation!) were glued onto rubber bands so to give some movement.

Im already thinking of a version 2, maybe using an actual dredd figure, but he'll do till an official figure comes out.

Now i have to resist the temptation to take him with me when i go to the cinema!

Thanks for looking.

Wow this guy is friggin' amazing! Would you ever consider doing another one for sale? I've been wanting a movie Dredd, like really really, since the movie first came out and yours is almost perfect! Really awesome job.

This is the best Judge Dredd custom I've ever seen! After seeing the movie, I wanted to do a Dredd custom using an ML series 4 Punisher...and as I look now at your work, all I can say is that its very impressive and it takes me one step further in making one myself.

I'm looking forward to the movie. One thing I have noticed is the red lines that meet in the middle of his visor on his helmet would block his eyesight.

can't wait to see it. I would say the short haired ML Black Widow would make a decent base for Anderson
JackTheBiscuit - Thursday, September 6, 2012
Awesome! I've been waiting for a realmer to do this new movie Dredd. Just great, from head to toe and a brilliant paint job. Please do Anderson
dandare - Thursday, September 6, 2012
Thanks im totally thinking of doing anderson (so to speak!) and maybe a bike. any ideas for a shorter female base fig?

Let me just say that I saw Dredd with a test audience back in July in Burbank and was totally blown away by this film! I wouldn't be mentioning it if it wasn't that good. With that said incredible job with this figure! Judge Dredd is a hard character to custom so congrats on a great job!
LuXuS - Thursday, September 6, 2012
Don't like the character, but I really like this figure. Great job!

A gorgeous custom of a terrific, gritty real-world look for Dredd. I can't wait to see the movie, it looks to be so much better than Sylvester Stallone's version! I was just at a convention and one of the guests was comic book writer Andy Diggle, who did 'The Losers' and 'Green Arrow Year One' with artist Jock. Jock is the lead conceptual artist/designer on the new Dredd film, and told Andy Diggle that the movie was amazing. Diggle's early job was the editor at 2000 AD, and discovered Jock from a headshot of Dredd he drew. Diggle also related the anecdote that Dredd's creator, John Wagner, walked up to Sylvester Stallone on the set of the 1995 Judge Dredd and told him "you're shooting the wrong script". Sorry to go off on a tangent there; I just meant to say this is real nice!

Thank you all very much!

"I rushed it a little." If this is you rushing a figure, I can't wait to see the next version. Because, this is damn near perfect. Besides the little details, like the name on the badge, this looks great and pretty accurate to me. The vest is well done, and putting the shoulder pads on small rubber bands was genius!

I can't wait for the new movie, too.
