this characters been on my to do list for a while now, but i think i finally figured him out. hes a bullseye torso, ml angel arms and legs and a xmc angel head cast from casting cave. sculpted flames and repaint.
Great depiction of the original Human Torch. I like the approach you took with showing it was in fact Jim but making the figure more visually interesting than just having him stand there in red tights by adding the sculpted flames and a sort of mid transformation look. Nice work from you as usual, my friend.
thanks mp. luckily I had picked up a cast of that head when I got a bunch of stuff from the casting cave. I do actually have an extra ffc torch figure in my fodder bin, but I really wanted to differentiate him from the johnny storm torch, so I kept digging til I found other parts I thought would work better. I was afraid hed be too skinny at first, but after the flames were sculpted it kinda filled him out.

thanks necro. I went back and forth on how to paint him. I studied alex ross's version from the marvels book and tried to follow the pallet he used. reds into orange, with a yellowy orange then straight into white with no true yellows in it.
