The DCUC Wonder Girl makes for a great base figure. She was my original Talia until I decided to go a different route for that character (see my other posting). So what to do with the WG figure? Well, my Hush Poison Ivy had a bad habit of being unsteady on her feet, taking occasional nosedives off the shelf--not to mention that he has been updated in light of the New 52. So this is basically a repaint of the DCUC Wonder Girl using metallic black, a lime green for the base of her leafy parts, followed by a darker green and a metallic green. I think the bits of metallic green for some of the leaves make her stand out a bit more. There was the hair and then the hardest part, blacking out the eyes. This has been pretty hard and I have to say that I'm not 100% pleased with her eyes. She needs white pupils to complete her but I need me some practice at keeping a steady hand. Nonetheless, I'm kind of pleased with the figure overall.
UPDATE: I've always liked Ivy with long hair and the Jim Lee sculpt was so good that i decided to see how her head would look on this custom. I have to admit that after painting her skin caucasian-flesh colored I like it, even if all that hair makes it seem like she's a Nashville country-western singer. :)
