Custom #:42582
Name:Superman Christopher Reeve V.3 DCUC Style
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:DC Universe
Creator:ringomendoza
Date Added:September 9, 2012
Base Figure:DCD new Krypton superman, DCD reactivated superman, DCUC Hal Jordan
Height:6.00 inches
This is my third try at this, and surely will be a fourth. My last version was too buff and lacked articulation. I wanted him in DCUC style, but the regular superman buck is over buff too, so I picked Hal Jordan, who has a more slender look. I used DCD reactivated supes lower legs and cape, DCD new krypton supes head and hands. Sanded the hell out of muscle definition, specially on abs, legs and arms. I filled a litlle with sculpt on the belly area and in his arms, to hide muscle and create cloth wrinkles. Sculpted belt and buckle. Chest symbol is a decal. I had to dremel and sand the hell out of him to avoid paint rub, and it was never enough, so I had to sand again when he was primed, and again when he was painted, so he doesn´t look as clean as I would like to, but it´ll do for my superman shelf for now.

Ah, the pain in the butt that is dealing with paint rub on DCUC. I feel your pain.
This still came out really nice. Good combo of parts. Looks really nice. Decal on the chest is nice but could be better formed to the body. Love the way you took out the buffness and I like the cloth folds a lot.

DUDE this is epic man , I love this recipe a lot ! - That Chris Reeve Head is the only reason they sell those figures thats for sure !! -- Its difficult trying to find teh best body for Movie Supes trust me I went through about 15 figures looking for the right look, I havent yet 100% found it yet but the DCUC body seems to be the most popular - I love that cape too !

Nice custom man. Likeness is impeccable.
Nice paint apps. Supes must use one hell of a hair gel, his curl and hair style doesn't get messed up even if he's flying at supersonic speeds.

I've had one of these about 70% complete since that New Krypton head came out. Mine is on a DCD body, though...but still haven't got around to finishing it. Love these Superman customs, especially the movie ones

make a NUCLEAR MAN to go with him!!!

With the new Neca figs of Dolph Lundgren for Rocky or the Expendables, I'm sure some realmers are already pondering on. Nuclear Man.

Now this is something that I think the late and great Mr. reeve would have been very impressed with! I personally love it!
