Too bad the camera didn't really pick up the painted glow effect very well. It looks much smoother and less grainy in real life. I transitioned it with different layers of metallic blue and transparent black, and transitioned the sheen to be from gloss in the white areas to matte in the black by bleeding the different sealing coats into each other.
