Leo was the first figure I completed. He was given an intense black wash with thick black lining to make him feel like he was pulled from the comics. Leo has an altered chest harness to match my source material which was TMNT #4 (the same picture was used as the TMNT NES game cover). His Bandanna was repainted red and silvers added to his weapons.

I was looking through my original Turtles comics and I just realized something I had forgot; the origin was also directly tied into Daredevil. With the ooze bottle hitting a young Matt Murdock in the eyes before hitting the turtles' bowl and shattering open completely.

Someone should make a Matt Murdock/Daredevil in the dark and gritty comic style!

I love these customs! Love that they are the comic version as well. My librbay closed it's comic section when I was about 7 years old and I was able to buy issues 1 2 and 3 for 5 bucks and this definitely makes me wish I still had them.

Darkest repaint of these turtles yet. Especially digging the Raph, but maybe it's cuz he's my favorite turtle...You've almost got me liking these new little turtles...I am currently trying to make a dark comic style version of the new classic turtles, just got a new Aztec Airbrush to spray the green. Great work here, look out for mine!
