Havok (Uncanny Avengers) Custom Action Figure

Custom #:43656
Name:Havok (Uncanny Avengers)
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Marvel Legends
Date Added:October 17, 2012
Base Figure:Bucky Cap
Height:6.00 inches
Was thrilled to see Havok was going to get a shot in the spotlight after such a long hiatus in space and mucking around with X-Factor. Even more surprised to see he was going to be the actual leader of the Uncanny Avengers, but here he is in his new costume. I varied the blacks/finishes up quite a bit to make him stand out a bit, but he's all Bucky Cap with boots from Wonder Man.

Yea, real sweet to have him back doing things again. Wonder why writers always seem to strand him somewhere or give him the boot off teams.

Thanks! Loving the redesign. Always liked his original costume, so I'm glad he's getting back to something like it.

Very cool!
I can't wait to see the new team in action.

Yea, it will be cool to see the whole team doing something. The first issue came out but only Thor, Cap, and Havok worked together at all. Seems like with the creative team it'll be a sure-fire hit though. I'm glad Cassaday was allowed to stick to his own designs too since a lot of them will look busier in other comics.

Awesome looking Havok! How did you get those circles so perfect?
raybot - Friday, October 19, 2012
I wish there were some trick to it! As it is, I usually get circles right by eye-balling one, then doing a lot of tedious corrections, then trying to use that as a guideline for the rest. I've tried masking things like this off a million times but it never seems to produce any sort of clean design on sculpts with a lot of dips.

Sculpt is great, and the circles are perfect. This looks pretty much spot on for his new look. But, I'm just a little confused as to why he is half gloss and half flat black?
raybot - Friday, October 19, 2012
Well, in the comics he's wearing pants over his regular costume. They aren't textured or baggy, but seem to be treated a bit differently by the colorists. I just went gloss on the spandex since it looked pretty nifty and added some dimension to what would otherwise be a flat black paintjob.

He looks amazing! Nice attention to details! Those circles turned out incredible!

Wish they'd photographed a bit better! They kind of fade in and out a bit, but they seem way more craggy and stark in pictures to me.
