I have been kicking around the idea of trying 3.75" figures; but since I'm a novice I have been hesitant. I really enjoy the new Christopher Yost and Ryan Stegman's Scarlet Spider, Kaine. I wanted a figure for my collection so I went for it-
I used a Marvel Universe Symbiote Spider-Man as a base. I tried a non-primer method (which I regret) and some watered down Liquitex Acrylic Crimson and Black paint. The front and back emblem were ridiculously hard to keep...so I modified the logos for my brush set...and skill set heh.
Lesson learned: Need a magnifying glass for 3.75" figures...and another lamp.
