Most remember Davos as the Steel Serpent, but during the Immortal Iron Fist series he eventually became known as the Steel Phoenix. This was during the Tournament of the Heavenly Cities, and after he killed Orson Randall. He added the wings to his tattoo so express the change. During the tournament, he even had his hand cut off, but used his chi to reform it. This figure was supposed to be put up last week, but no matter what I did I just couldn't stop the rub. So, this week I sanded him down even more and applied more sealer and touch ups and finally it seems to have worked. I cut the hair off the back off the mask to help differentiate him from Danny Rand in the form of basic looks. Didn't want a straight repaint. The tattoo itself actually wasn't too hard to paint. Only slight touch ups on the initial application and it looked great. The feet are from a Wolverine Origins Weapon X and they fit rather nicely. I just had to shave some of the bulk off the peg so they leg wouldn't bulge out so much. The only other issue I had was finding the colors for him. Immortal Iron Fist was drawn so dark it was hard to fully make out. A lot of customs were red, purple, blue, and black, but I wanted to be as accurate as possible. Finally found this image. Don't have the excessively baggy pants, but I still love how the final product came out.
