This is a commission piece I did for my brother, he's a big Scotty Cameron fan and wanted to give Scotty something special for his birthday when he hits Vegas in November. If you don't know, Scotty Cameron is some kind of putter guru, I read that some of his putters have sold for over $10,000 for one putter. It's crazy, he made some that were damascus steel... I'm not a golfer or a golf fan, but I respect an artist and this dude is pretty badass. Anyway, my brother wanted him in this jacket and wanted me to make him have tattoos that matched the stamps and logos from his putters, and he requested the Scotty dog with spiked collar, and a putter as a weapon. I think I hit all the marks, I use a Starman base, Savage Dragon head with hand made glasses and sculpted hair, Starman staff reshaped and painted with added flame effects, Magog right forearm, Indigo Atom left forearm (painted to look like golf balls on a green, clever eh? eh?), I had no luck with the dog, but my brother found two on ebay, I used one for this and saved one for when I make my brother's figure. I added the chain and the spiked collar, I guess that's it. This one was fun for me, the first time I did a figure of someone/something I knew next to nothing about, but my brother likes it, I guess that's what maters most.
Pure, unfiltered, kickass craftsmanship!!!
I keep looking at these pics, getting lost in all the details, brother...
That jacket is beautifully painted...did you add all those leopard spots by hand?
