Long time in the works and just in time for Halloween! Here is my take on Simon Belmont. In the end, I decided the "classic" color scheme looked better on plastic than the red one from my favorite title, Simon's Quest. I gave the base MU Thor a haircut, chopped the helmet and sculpted over it and then painted the whole shebang with many different color coats of Citadel and DecoArt until I was satisfied with the outcome. Lots of dry brush and wash effects. The flame whip is hot glue effects around a plastic coated wire tie Krazy Glued into the handle of the original figure's hammer. The rock is the base from my Marvel Select Classic Thor and the "tree" is some floral wood from Hobby Lobby. Happy Halloween, time to queue up "Vampire Killer" or some "Bloody Tears!" Thanks for looking and God Bless!

Cool Simon Belmont custom--Thor works very well as a base body for the famous Vampire Hunter.

Thanks for dropping by, Patraw! I know my goal has been reached when you chime in on a classic video game fig! I appreciate it.

So cool!
Love the side-scrolling diorama! ...Feels like I'm playing the game.

Thanks so much, it's actually the back insert from the LotR "Black Gates of Mordor" box. I was going to toss it in the recycling like a crazy person before realizing how truly dumb that would have been! Finally, a 3.75" that can display well with 6". I mean, the monsters throughout the C-vania catalogue are often hella big compared to our heroes

Very very nice. I still like the choice of body for him. Hope to see some more of the Belmont line. Looks great.

Thanks a bunch man--I figured Simon made the most sensible starting point with the base I had to work with.
