I'd been waiting awhile to do this one, I just needed the right pieces. I started out placing a Marvel Legends Hope Summers head on a Mystique body and then I got to work. Flat black on the body suit, plus some flesh tones on the chest (doesn't quite match, I know). I cut up the utility belt and replaced much of it with a rubber band. I also cut off the holster and reattached it with another rubber band. Then I made a matching holster out of some plastic and painted the whole harness system glossy black. I like the contrast when I mix glossy and flat colors. I then added the stinger bracelets from a Marvel Select Black Widow, which I had originally purchased for this custom before realizing it was way out of scale with my other Avengers figures. I added some SHIELD emblems, which I created in Illustrator, to the shoulders (those pics didn't turn out so you'll have to take my word for it), although I had to move them down to clear the joint. I added the uniform details, then I took some fabric and made the boot covers, to which I added more rubber bands. I have to say I think this is one of my best customs yet.
